They’re the best guides in the business, helping you ski the right areas at the right time, maximize the potential of every slope, and build confidence in your skills to fully enjoy your experience. All of our helicopter skiing guides have extensive heliskiing and back country guiding experience as well as the most current emergency procedure, first aid, and rescue training available today. As intense mountain sport enthusiasts themselves, our guides understand the needs of our customers and bend over backwards to make sure that your experience is second to none.

At Valdez Heli-Camps, your safety is our number one priority.  With this in mind, we settle for nothing less than the best guides in the business.  A good guide is the key to ensuring that you not only have the best time you've ever had in your life, but that you maximize the potential of any slope and ski the right areas at the right time. All skiers and boarders are given instruction in the use of avalanche transceivers and search techniques before they travel into the mountains with Valdez Heli-Camps.  We strongly encourage you to become familiar with beacons, probes, shovels, rescue procedures and basic mountain safety before you venture into the back country with anyone.  Each guide carries a backpack stocked with light rescue gear and a first aid kit. The radio dispatcher tracks the ski day and should emergency arise is able to relay appropriate equipment and support.  Should evacuation become necessary you will be financially responsible for costs incurred.  Please be sure your medical insurance covers this type of rescue.
