Experience the fun of Heli Skiing
in Alaska
It's three days into your weeklong heli-adventure,
and you are feeling better than ever. Your body
has worked out it various aches and strains,
your endurance on the slopes has improved considerably
each day, and you find that you just aren't as
tired in the evening as you used to be.
You are ready for a fun night out with your
team and guides, so after dinner it's off to
the local pub for a social but relaxed evening
of pool, darts, shuffleboard, and maybe even
a bit of dancing to live music.
The next morning you awake to a huge snowstorm
dumping loads of fresh powder onto the mountains
all around you. And while this means that another
epic day of heli-skiing is soon to be had, it
also means the helicopter is grounded for the
day, so alternative options are discussed.
First, the fleet of snowcats are already up
at base camp warming up and getting ready to
transport willing skiers several thousand feet
up the mountain. For those that prefer a day
off the skis, ice-climbing, snowmobiling and
sea kayaking are other options that are available
to you.
Whatever the weather,
and whatever the situation, the only "down" day
you'll experience with Valdez Heli-Camps,
is the day you leave us to go back home.
