Many of you use our All-Inclusive Snowcat Skiing Packages as a budget alternative to heli skiing. Others just enjoy the reliability, pace and less intense atmosphere a snowcat ski day offers on the mountain. Even more of you choose snowcat skiing in Valdez as a less intimidating entry than Heli Skiing may provide into the Steep Skiing World of Alaska.
With the addition of two snowcats to the fleet, we are expanding terrain and offering multi-day packages for skiing exclusively by snowcat. This new opportunity provides an extremely effective step for those of you interested in skiing or snowboarding here in Valdez's Chugach Mountains.
Last season we were able to significantly expand our terrain and add new runs. This, coupled with our new Pisten Bully snowcats, allow us to offer the "New" 6 Day/ 7 Night All-Inclusive Snowcat Skiing package option for the first time in 2009!
For our all-inclusive package guests, you get a totally catered experience - virtually everything is included except Beer/Wine/Liquor, Ski or Board Rental, and Gratuities. Of course, if you would like, you may step up to the Heli for $799 a day, if we have space available.
An average day of snowcat skiing produces 12,000 to 14,000 vertical feet of skiing.
The Heated Snowcat Passenger cabin has comfortable seating for you and up to 10 of your skiing companions. The Cabin features big windows to help you pick your next line, a DVD player to watch a movie on your way back up - or use the inputs to show footage from you helmet cam or listen to tunes from your MP 3 Player or IPod. Of course, if you would like, you may step up to Heli Skiing for $799 per day, if we have space available during your all-inclusive snowcat skiing trip!
